COTTAGE GROVE (3-8, #29)
■ Leading off: The Lions have three matchups this week. They travel to No. 20 Klamath Union (4-5) for a doubleheader on Friday. The Lions took both games of a doubleheader last year. On Tuesday, the Lions welcome No. 10 Marshfield (5-3). The Pirates swept the Lions last season. The Lions have won three of their past five after starting 0-6, while the Pirates have lost three of four after starting 4-0.
PLEASANT HILL (3-5, #21)

The three matchups included a 12-10 victory for Creswell and a 5-4 victory for the Billies, so more close games may be in store. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs welcome No. 16 La Pine (6-4). Last season, the Bulldogs took two out of three matchups from the Hawks. The Bulldogs offense continues to struggle, with only six runs in its past five games.
