The 14th-seeded Pioneers defeated #19 seed Elmira 5-4 on Monday, but have won only three of their past 10 games. The Bulldogs have won 17 of 18 games. If the Bulldogs win, they would play the winner of Blanchet Catholic (19-6, 10-4) and Burns/Crane (20-7, 12-2) on Friday. The Bulldogs pitchers have allowed only 89 runs all season, 2nd lowest in 3A, for an average of 3.3 per game.

■ Leading off: The 8th-seeded Colts play 9th-seeded Bend (18-9, 12-6, #9) on Tuesday. The Lava Bears are looking to rebound from a three-game sweep at the hands of Ridgeview, while the Colts have won seven games in a row. If the Colts win, they play the winner of No. 1 Corvallis and No. 16 Canby, who knocked the Colts out in the semifinals last season.
