Weekend events could generate $20.7 million

Next month, seven different sporting events over one weekend could generate over $20.7 million in estimated economic impact for Lane County.

The revenue breaks down this way: More than $5.7 million in retail, over $4.3 million in food and beverage, and over $3.2 million in lodging from over 14,000 total room nights, according to the Travel Lane County Sports Commission team.

■June 26-27: Trail South Cascades Team Race, Willamette Pass

■ June 27-28:
• Summer Solstice Ultimate Tournament, Eugene
• Banana Ball with Savannah Bananas, Eugene
