■ Leading off: The Billies have a league home doubleheader against No. 39 Sisters (1-15, 0-11) on Friday, to finish the league season. Earlier this season, the Billies defeated the Outlaws 25-6. The Billies already have clinched a place in state playoffs, so all that can be accomplished now is securing a higher seed. On Monday and Tuesday, the Billies have two non-league matchups, against No. 27 Siuslaw (5-14, 3-9) and No. 11 in Class 2A/1A Toledo (13-6, 7-2).
THURSTON (3-21, 3-12, #27)
■ Leading off: This week, the Colts play the first game of their final series of the season against No. 24 Ashland/Phoenix (7-12, 4-8). The Colts are looking to carry the momentum of a sweep over Springfield into the series against the Grizzlies, and finish the season strong. Last season, the Colts took both games from the Grizzlies.
SPRINGFIELD (0-20, 0-12, #32)
■ Leading off: The Millers host a Friday doubleheader with No. 12 North Eugene (13-8, 7-5), and then travel to No. 3 Crater (15-5, 10-2) on Tuesday for the opener of a three-game series. Last season, both teams swept the Millers.
CRESWELL (6-15, 3-9, #33)
■ Leading off: This week, the Bulldogs play No. 12 Elmira (14-4, 8-3) in an away doubleheader on Friday to finish out their season. Earlier this season, the Falcons defeated the Bulldogs 10-0, one of only three times the Bulldogs have been shut out this season.
COTTAGE GROVE (5-16, 2-7, #26)
■ Leading off: The Lions have three games this week, but only one against a league opponent. A Friday non-league doubleheader against No. 6 in Class 3A North Valley (18-6, 8-1) is first, before the Lions host No. 9 North Bend/Reedsport (14-4, 3-3) on Tuesday. Last season, the Lions and Bulldogs played in three games. All were decided by one run, with the Bulldogs taking two by identical 11-10 scores and the Lions taking the other game 4-3.
