■ THURSTON defeated Century 5-3 in a non-league matchup on Thursday. Brody Corgain was 2-for-3, with a HR, a triple, and 2 RBI. Grady Saunders was 3-for-3, with a triple, a sacrifice fly, and threw two scoreless innings.
■ CRESWELL won two of three games last week, although it did lose its 15-game winning streak on Friday against Elmira. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs defeated Sisters 7-6 on Senior Night. Sophomore Gavin Crowl was 3-for-3, with a double, a walk, and three runs scored. Friday’s first game against Elmira was a 13-6 loss, only the second time the Bulldogs had allowed more than 10 runs this season, the other being a wild 17-14 victory over Vale. The Falcons scored seven runs in the first two innings, which proved to be too much to overcome. In Game Two, the Bulldogs responded with a 12-0 victory. Jaxon Pelham was 3-for-3, with two triples and 5 RBI, and Landon Vaughn threw a complete-game shutout, striking out five and showing remarkable efficiency by throwing only 77 pitches.
■ PLEASANT HILL went 1-2 last week. Tuesday was a 3-2 loss to La Pine, in which the Hawks hit a walk-off double. Wyatt Krauss was 2-for-3, with a walk, an RBI, and two stolen bases. Friday’s doubleheader against Sisters was a tale of two very different game scripts. The Billies won Game One 6-0, with freshman Wyatt Blake throwing six scoreless innings before Gabe VanOrdstrand closed it out. VanOrdstrand was also 2-for-3 at the plate, with two runs scored, and Nolan Perkins was 3-for-3, with an RBI. The Outlaws’ bats came alive in Game Two, and they took it 16-9, scoring 14 runs in the final three innings. VanOrdstrand was 2-for-4, with two doubles and 2 RBI, and threw four innings, allowing only one earned run.
■ COTTAGE GROVE lost 17-1 to Tillamook in a non-league game on Tuesday. Nolan Spear was 1-for-2, with a run scored, while Nikai Bridgens drew two walks, one of which scored Spear.
■ SPRINGFIELD lost both games to No. 4 North Eugene by a combined score of 31-1. Kameron Krueg had a double and an RBI on Tuesday to provide the Millers’ lone run.
