SPRINGFIELD – The Eugene Springfield Fire Department responded to a house fire early Sunday morning, April 26. Crews were dispatched after reports of a window air conditioning unit on fire at a home in the 1000 block of 21st Avenue. Firefighters executed an interior attack, successfully containing the fire to one room. No injuries were reported; two adults and four pets were displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation
