Rough finish for Lions; Millers nearly pull off first-round upset

Cottage Grove went 0-2 in their last regular scheduled games against St. Mary’s Medford and Gladstone. St. Mary’s Medford is a Class 3A private school that has gone 9-3-1 in Class 3A. These last two contests were unrankable and were to give the Lions more games after their late start to the season due to cancellations. The Lions then lost their first round game againist the No. 2-seeded The Dalles 7-0 Tuesday night.

The No. 14-seeded Springfield Millers almost upset the No. 3-seeded La Salle Prep on the road, but narrowly lost 5-4 againist the Falcons in the first round.
