Gerold Lynn Eldredge (Gerry or Buster as many knew him) of Creswell, Ore. passed away on Nov. 30, 2022 at age 88.

Gerry was born in Cosmopolis, Wash. on July 20, 1934 to parents, Mac & Phyllis Eldredge. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1955 before meeting his wife, Rose Marie Jarosik, and marrying in 1955. They had two children, Shelly and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, daughter Shelly (Steve) Carnes and his older sister Wanda Lyon, along with four nephews and their wives. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Hannah (Dave) Sanderbrink, Kimberly Eldredge and Jordan Cooper, in addition to five great-grandchildren.

He was employed by Pacific Northwest Bell, later to become AT&T for 30 years, then continued his career under his own company, Creslane Communications for another 20 years. On his off hours he partnered with Rose running two more businesses, Creslane Tree Farm and Creslane Kennels.

He enjoyed looking forward to hunting season, fishing in any body of water, shooting trap and skeet, camping with his family and watching UO Duck sports. He was a lifetime member of Cottage Grove, Eugene Sportsmen’s Club and spent countless hours competing, volunteering his time and playing cribbage with the members.

Gerry was dearly loved. His quick wit and ability to engage anyone with his sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and fellow hunting and fishing buddies. Memorial contributions in Gerry’s memory can be made to the Oregon Wildlife Foundation.
