The Millers were led by the usual suspects, with junior QB Caeleb Kasperek throwing for 201 yards and 4 TDs. Two of those TD passes were to senior Dwayne Fotta, who ended with 100 yards receiving. Fotta also scored on a 70-yard punt return. While junior Connor Dye has been the featured running back, sophomore Jakori Richardson led Springfield with 79 yards rushing and 2 TDs on only 8 carries. Dye finished with 56 yards and a TD, but carried the ball only 5 times in the win. On defense, the Millers forced South Eugene into 4 turnovers. Junior DB Dylan Schifferdecker was responsible for 2 INTs, junior Jackson Babbitt had 1 INT, and junior Nate Williams forced and recovered a fumble. Springfield (3-1) now heads to rival Thurston (2-2) this week.

The Bulldogs earned a league victory in a game with each team scoring five offensive TDs. The decider was a 25-yard INT return for a TD by Creswell senior Cade Dimmick. On offense, the Bulldogs were led by seniors Connor Hanson and Jack Nguyen. Hanson threw for 104 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 58 yards and a score. Nguyen touched the ball 12 times on offense, amassing 190 yards and 4 TDs, 3 rushing and 1 receiving. While Elmira was able to move the ball and make big plays, the defense held up enough with the help of 11 tackles from Nguyen and 2 INTs from Dimmick.
