Carole Wolford Nov. 15, 1935 – July 30,2022

On Saturday, July 30,2022 Carole Wolford, of Creswell, loving wife, and mother passed away peacefully in her home from cancer. 

Carole was born in Los Angeles, Calif. to Ralph and Dorothy (Cramer) Durkee on Nov. 15, 1935, she was 86-years-old, and was their only child. 

Carole married Tommy Wolford at his parents’ home in Torrance, Calif. on March 11, 1954. They were married for 68 years. Tom was serving in the Air Force at that time and shipped out to Japan soon after their wedding/honeymoon. When he returned, they settled into having a family of three children. 

A few years later, they made the decision to move to Oregon and ended up picking the small town of Creswell as their new home and raised their family. They remain there to this day. 

Carole was a busy mom, grandma, great grandma, and a very talented crafter, gardener and she loved to read with a passion. She was very active in her church and loved the Lord dearly! 

She is survived by her husband Tom of Creswell; daughter Linda Ehrich of La Pine, Ore.; a daughter Denise Huston of Eugene; son Keith Wolford of Camas Valley, Ore.; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Ray Cokeley and Sandra Cokeley, preceded her in death. 

There will be a celebration of life Sept. 3 at Creswell Faith Center, 755 Front St. at 11 a.m. Service starts at noon. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
