Pleasant Hill girls defeat Harrisburg, 47-23

Pleasant Hill’s girls’ basketball team ran their season record to 11-3 and league mark to 2-0 with a 47-23 win at Harrisburg Friday night.
After the Eagles scored the first basket, the Billies blanked them the rest of the period and ran off a string of 11 straight points to open an 11-2 lead after one period. Hannah Way and Alexa Ellis each scored four opening period points.
P-Hill led 18-9 at the half and 29-13 heading into the final period. Way converted a three-point play in the second quarter and swished a three-point hoop in the third.
The Billies scored the first 12 points of the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 41-13 behind three baskets by Ellis.
Ellis finished the game with 20 points.
Way added 15, Angeni Yeo six, Kaylee Martin three, Kacie Hoyt two and Victoria Lewis one.
