Maddy Woodward completed her Pleasant Hill cross country career by standing on the awards stand at the 3A-2A-1A state cross country meet Saturday at Lane Community College.Woodward, a two time district champion, finished eighth in the girls race in 19:59.”It was a great show for her senior race to cap a successful season,” said coach Beth Sprague. ”I am proud to be her coach. I felt it went well.”Woodward said she was happy with her finish after being ranked ninth based on season times.”I felt it out, stuck back and picked people off.”She plans to train over the winter and prepare for a good senior track season.
