There are plenty of great music venues in Lane County, all of which have their own unique charm and atmosphere, but for Cottage Grove, The Axe & Fiddle is where it’s at.
All year long they have both local and nationally known musicians performing in their restaurant. People come from miles around to witness and enjoy performed original and cover songs by talented individuals and bands.
This fall, The Axe & Fiddle has numerous great shows lined up, so there’s no need to stay inside once the rains come; put on those jackets and venture on down to The Axe & Fiddle.
Thursday, Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m., Pat Kearns will perform his famous pop, rock and folk music free of charge. This Portland-based musician enjoys performing solo, as well as with his band, Blue Skies for Black Hearts.
On Friday, Oct. 5 at 8:30 p.m., Scrumptious Scoundrels Burlesque is performing for a $10 cover charge. This all-inclusive burlesque and variety show comes from Eugene and is sure to please.
Howlin’ Dogma is performing at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 for a $5 cover charge. This rock-and-roll band features blues and is sure to have the crowd cheering for more long after their last song concludes.
First and foremost, however, The Axe & Fiddle is a pub and restaurant with a full bar and an extensive menu. This autumn, their menu items shift to match the season. Beers change from lighter, summer-based brews to heavier, full-bodied lagers perfect for the colder temperatures.
