Ernest “Jean” Giraud Jr., 72, of Cottage Grove, Ore., passed away June 9, 2021. Jean was born Oct. 17, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho, to parents Ernest and June (Stevens) Giraud. Jean graduated high school in 1967 and received his associates degree from Lane Community College, Sept. 1992 in computer programming. He joined the Navy on Dec. 1, 1970 as a sonar technician.
