University of Oregon track and field officials announced this week that five Oregon legends would be featured on the 187-foot tower standing over the new Hayward Field. Bill Bowerman (former Ducks coach and co-founder of Nike), Steve Prefontaine (the state’s most iconic runner), Ashton Eaton (two-time gold-medal decathlete), Otis Davis (two-time gold medalist and word-record setter) and Raevyn Rogers (world-class middle distance runner).
