■ COTTAGE GROVE competed in the Class 4A-4 Sky Em League Championships on Friday and Saturday. Micah Hanke won a league title in the boys 800m with a time of 1:58.44. Lucas O’Hara won a title in the boys high jump with a mark of 1.79m (5-10.5). Jacob Dugas won the boys triple jump with a mark of 13.35m (43-9.75). Ella Cardwell won the 1500m with a time of 4:50.75, and the 3000m with a time of 10:29.95. Emmerson Bickford won the girls 300m hurdles with a time of 49.47. Makya Alsup won the girls javelin with a mark of 38.90m (127-7).

■ PLEASANT HILL and CRESWELL competed at the Class 3A Special District 1 Championships on Thursday and Friday. Cody Jones of Pleasant Hill won a league title in the javelin, throwing it 57.07m (187-3), 18 feet farther than second place. Ryan Thomas, also of P-Hill, won the girls 100m with a time of 11.96 seconds. Jordyn Lee and Kylie Leonard of Creswell finished 1-2 in the girls 400m; Lee won it with a time of 59.38, and Leonard ran 59.95.

Previews

■ The OSAA State Championships will take place from Thursday-Saturday. Thurston will have 11 athletes compete across 18 individual events, as well as its boys 4x400m and girls 4x100m teams. Springfield will have six athletes compete across eight individual events.

■ Cottage Grove will be represented by 10 athletes in 12 individual events, as well as its girls 4x400m team. Pleasant Hill will send five athletes across seven individual events. Creswell will also send five athletes across seven individual events, as well as its boys 4x100m and 4x400m teams and its girls 4x400m team.
