Dear Editor,

It was my honor to attend the ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Creswell’s Duane Hodges’ death in the attack on the United States Naval vessel Pueblo on Jan. 23, 1968. As City Council president, it was a privilege to attend and represent the City of Creswell.
It was unfortunate that other members of the Creswell City Council were unable to attend, due to illness and employment obligations.
