Dear Editor:
This letter is a “thank you” to all of the people of Creswell. Today is our Anniversary of sorts. Exactly 50 years ago, on June 20, 1976, my wife Candi and I moved to Creswell. I was 19 years old. We bought a starter home on Astoria Avenue at the end of Brookhurst Street. Thirteen years later, we built our dream home on a hill on 20 acres south of town on Tate Road. Twenty-eight years later, we sold our farm and moved into a home near Dale Kuni Road, where we have lived for the past nine years. In the meantime, we were blessed with six children, two foster children, thirteen grandchildren, and so many friends we can’t count them all.
When we moved to Creswell, we had no idea we would live here for the rest of our lives. And more importantly, we had no idea we would meet and make so many friends. Real friends – honest, helpful, loving, and good. So “thank you” all on behalf of Candi, myself, and our family for the blessings you have bestowed on the Riddle family. And may God bless all of you and our community.
