Cottage Grove Police Chief Cory Chase accepted the Achievement & Excellence honor at the annual Oregon Association Chiefs of Police conference in Pendleton last week. He and the Cottage Grove Police Department were recognized for achieving their initial accreditation.
Per the OACP, “We offer special recognition to the agencies receiving their INITIAL accreditation, a significant milestone that represents years of preparation, dedication, and organizational commitment.
CGPD was one of 12 agencies from around the state to achieve the milestone during the past year.
CGPD officials noted that this is a major accomplishment for the City and reinforces Chief Chase’s and the department’s commitment to providing the highest level of service to the community and maintaining the highest standards in public safety.
