■ THURSTON had a 2-1 week against Eagle Point. Tuesday’s game was a 3-1 defeat to give the Colts four consecutive losses. Eagles senior Braden Nugent threw a complete game with eight strikeouts. The Colts won Saturday’s doubleheader by scores of 8-3 and 16-7. Parker Edwards was 2-for-3, with a HR and 2 RBI in game one, and Grady Saunders and Dean Knowles each had 4 RBI in Game Two.
■ SPRINGFIELD was swept by Ashland last week, with one loss coming by forfeit. Ryan Letsom was 2-for-6, with two doubles in Saturday’s doubleheader.
■ COTTAGE GROVE lost to Marshfield 11-0 on Tuesday. The Lions had only three hits, its third game in the past four where its offense has had three or fewer hits. The Lions had five more errors, and average 4.3 per game after the loss. The Lions split a Friday doubleheader with Marshfield, with a 12-2 loss then an 11-7 win. The Lions scored eight runs in the first inning of Game Two. Nolan Spear was 2-for-3, with a double and 3 RBI in the second game victory.
■ CRESWELL defeated La Pine 11-1 on Tuesday in five innings. Kayden Roberts was 3-for-3, with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored, Matthew Jenkins was 1-for-3, with a walk and 3 RBI, and Landon Vaughn threw all five innings, allowing only two hits and one run. The Bulldogs took both games of a doubleheader over Sisters on Friday. Game One finished 6-0. Jaxon Pelham threw his third complete-game shutout in 16 days, walking only one batter on 87 pitches. Game Two finished 13-1, with the Bulldogs scoring eight in the sixth inning. Lowell transfer Zak Hermansen threw a complete game, and the only run he allowed was unearned. Roberts was 5-for-8, with a double, 3 RBI, and two stolen bases on the day.
■ PLEASANT HILL defeated Harrisburg 12-2 on Tuesday for its first league victory of the season. The Billies scored in all six innings before run-ruling the Eagles. Freshman Wyatt Blake threw five innings, allowing three hits and one earned run, and chipped in a two-RBI double. Sophomore Wyatt Krauss was 3-for-5, with two RBI, and threw a scoreless final inning. The Billies lost two close games in a doubleheader against La Pine on Friday, by scores of 7-5 and 9-6. A three-run first inning was the difference in Game One, while a six-run fourth decided the second game. Krauss was 2-for-4, with 4 RBI in game two.
