Groundbreaking ceremony at CHS

CRESWELL –The Creswell School District has officially kicked off construction on its new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Building at Creswell High School, thanks to strong community support for the district’s bond measure.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Monday, March 16, at 4:30 p.m. at Creswell High School, 33390 Niblock Lane. Attendees will include Superintendent Mike Johnson, School Board members, bond committee representatives, community stakeholders, CTE students, and industry partners.

This new 20,000-square-foot facility, donated by R&M Steel Company of Idaho, aims to enhance hands-on learning opportunities and adapt to evolving industry needs by expanding vocational education programs and helping develop a strong workforce pipeline for Lane County.

Construction preparations are underway, with the building’s structure expected to arrive in mid-April. Erection will occur throughout the summer, with progress visible as the project develops.
