SPRINGFIELD: The Millers competed in the Class 5A Coed Cheerleading State Championships two weeks ago on Saturday, Feb. 14. The Millers finished ninth out of 10 with 51.5 points. The Millers got 12 points for their band dance & fight song, 24 points for crowd leading, and an 18.5 composite score. They then received a three-point safety deduction.

THURSTON: The Colts competed in the Class 5A Coed Cheerleading State Championships two weeks ago and earned second place with a score of 85.5. The Colts received 29 points for their band dance & fight song, 30 points for their crowd leading, and a 26.5 composite score. The Colts did not have any safety deductions. They finished in second behind Churchill.

COTTAGE GROVE: The Lions competed in the Class 4A Small Cheerleading State Championships two weeks ago and took sixth place out of six teams with 50.6 points. The Lions had 18.5 overall points, 15.4 building, and 16.7 tumbling & jumps points. They did not receive a safety deduction.

CRESWELL: The Bulldogs competed in the Class 3A/2A/1A Coed Cheerleading State Championships two weeks ago. The Bulldogs earned second place with 73 points. The Bulldogs led the meet in both their band dance & fight song and crowd leading with 25.5 points in both categories. They also received the second-most composite points with 25. The Bulldogs received a three-point safety deduction to bring them to 73. Westside placed first with 75 points.

PLEASANT HILL: The Billies competed in the Class 3A/2A/1A Small Cheerleading State Championships two weeks ago and finished fifth place out of nine with 71.9 points. The Billies received an overall score of 26, a building score of 23.4, a tumbling and jumps score of 25.5, and a three point-safety deduction. Without the deduction, the Billies would have placed third.
