Bruce Clifford Brundidge passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2026, in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, on November 21st, 1940, to Fransis Arden and Winnifred Gennett (Ross) Brundidge.
Bruce spent his early childhood in Wisconsin. The family moved to Oakland, Oregon, for a short time when Bruce was 5 years old, then to Oakridge, Oregon, and then settled down in Creswell, Oregon. Bruce attended Creswell Schools and was active in sports, playing basketball, football, and baseball. Bruce graduated from Creswell High School in 1958.
On August 12th, 1961, he married the love of his life, Juanita Mae Williams, in Glide, Oregon. Bruce and Juanita started their family shortly after and were blessed with Kimberly Marie (Brundidge) Murray on April 21st, 1962, and Bruce Bryan Brundidge on April 9th, 1965. Bruce started his career in a sawmill in Creswell. Then moved to Bagdad, Arizona, to work in the Copper Mine where Nita’s mother and stepfather lived.
The mountains and rivers called the family back to Creswell, where Bruce started his career at Weyerhaeuser in Cottage Grove and then moved on to scaling logs for Columbia Log Scaling Bureau. Bruce finished his working career with Lane County Public Works. Bruce was an avid sportsman, bagging big game and all kinds of finned and shell fish all his adult life. Fishing and camping at Diamond Lake were a family tradition.
Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mae, on October 16th, 2007; his sister, Beverly Jean Taylor, on December 5th, 2003; and his grandson, Christopher Lane Brundidge, on February 11th, 2010.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Marie Murray, and Bruce (Bryan) Brundidge, both of Roseburg, Oregon. Mother-in-law, Mickey Williams of Cottage Grove. Brother-in-law, Robert Taylor of Creswell, Dianne Sharrah of Cottage Grove, Donald Jr Williams of Alaska, Becky Williams of the Philippines. Bruce’s grandchildren are Melanie Brundidge, Samantha Brundidge, Brandon Cook, Maddison Huelsman (Justin), and great-grandchildren Taylor, Destiny, Cheyanne, Hailey, Mason, Max, Stella, and one great-great-granddaughter, Rhea. Nephew Mark Taylor (Debbie), Neices, Theresa Williamson (Jerry), and Susan Harrold (Brad). Several other cousins live in Wisconsin, California, and Oregon.
The family is planning a graveside service at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery on the afternoon of May 16th, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by a gathering. We would love to have all come and celebrate Bruce.
