■ THURSTON (14-4, 6-0)
Tipping off: No. 4 in Class 5A Thurston has one game this week. On Tuesday, the Colts travel to face No. 31 Eagle Point (2-16, 0-6). The Eagles are the only team without a win in Midwestern League play and have lost 12 in a row. In contrast, the Colts have won 11 in a row, including a 91-39 victory over the Eagles on Jan. 8. In that game, Lucas LaBounty had 28 points by halftime. The Colts went into halftime leading 56-10.
■ CRESWELL (13-6, 5-1)
Tipping off: The Bulldogs, No. 12 in Class 3A, have two league matchups this week. On Friday, the Bulldogs welcome No. 25 Harrisburg (10-11, 1-5). The Bulldogs handled the Eagles 66-45 on Jan. 21 on the road. In that game, the Bulldogs had four players who scored in double figures. They shot 74% from two-point range, and 50% from beyond the arc. Nine missed free throws on 17 attempts made the final closer than it should have been.
On Tuesday, the Bulldogs travel to face No. 14 Elmira (12-8, 3-3) for their final road game before playoffs begin. It is the Falcons’ Senior Night, with seven players on the roster set to graduate. On Jan. 23, the Bulldogs defeated the Falcons 59-48. Luke Bailey led the Bulldogs with 22 points in that one, and has scored 20+ in each of the two games since.
■ COTTAGE GROVE (4-14, 2-4)
Tipping off: After starting 2-1 in Sky Em League play, the No. 24 Lions have dropped three straight. This week, they have one game, a rematch with No. 5 Marist Catholic (11-4, 5-1) on Tuesday. The Spartans sit atop the Sky Em League, although they dropped their first league game to Marshfield last time out. The first time these two met up, the Lions had a halftime lead, but an injury to star big man Trevor Cooper early in the third quarter led to a 48-41 Spartans victory.
■ SPRINGFIELD (2-16, 1-5)
Tipping off: The Millers played Churchill on Tuesday, after The Chronicle’s deadlines.
■ PLEASANT HILL (16-4, 6-0)
Tipping off: The No. 2 Billies have two league matchups this week. On Friday at 6 p.m., the Billies welcome No. 39 La Pine (5-15, 0-6) for their Senior Night. Seniors Landen Melvin, Jacob Neely, Chase Vargas, and Isaiah Wilson will be honored. The Billies defeated the Hawks 85-51 a few weeks previously, and will look for a similar result as a bounce back from losing to No. 1 Westside Christian last week.
On Tuesday the Billies face No. 16 Sisters (8-10, 3-3). The Outlaws have won two in a row and are now tied for third in the Mountain Valley Conference. The Billies defeated the Outlaws 52-51 less than three weeks ago. That one was a battle, with Melvin’s game-winner deciding it in favor of the Billies.
