Boys and girls wrestling recaps

SPRINGFIELD competed in the Tod Surmon tournament last Friday. The boys and girls teams both finished in 18th place, scoring 15.5 and 14 points, respectively. Aleida Martinez Contreras (235) and Jules Starnes (130) got fifth and sixth place, respectively for the girls.

THURSTON’S boys and girls teams both won the Tod Surmon tournament last Friday with scores of 357.5 and 192.5, respectively. Standouts for the Colts boys were Samuel Greenstreet (106), Lukas Salas-Sanchez (113), Michael Salas-Sanchez (120), Ivan Henderson (132), Truman Winningham (138), and Sawyer Greenstreet (157) who all placed first. On the girls side, Mya Arciga (100), Rosalina Montes (110), Kassidy Hadden (130), Rylie Lynnes (190), and Katiry Day (235) each earned first as well.

CRESWELL competed in the Special District 2 Duals last weekend. The Bulldogs went 4-3 in their duals. The Bulldogs beat Taft 47-27, Siuslaw 38-16, Elmira 38-22, and Jefferson 51-12. Their losses came to Santiam Christian 45-28, Harrisburg 57-18, and Scio 42-20.
