SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Chamber celebrated Dr. Matthew Collins on his first solo gig as a dentist at his office last Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Two Rivers Dental, 1717 Centennial Blvd., Suite #3, is a classic oral healthcare facility, with a receptionist desk at the front door, a waiting room with a fish tank, and a clinic in the back.
Collins called the Willamette Valley home in 2019 after graduating from the University of Las Vegas. After spending seven years in dentistry, he took over for the previous doctor and opened Two Rivers in July 2025.

His wife and two children, along with friends, coworkers, and chamber ambassadors, gathered outside the front door at 1 p.m. with a ribbon and a pair of giant gold scissors.
Springfield City Council President Michelle Webber also attended the ceremony and expressed her pleasure at having a new dentist in town.
“We’re just so excited to have you join our business community. There are other places you could choose, and we’re excited that you chose us,” Webber said.
Collins said a few words of his own, too, before snipping the ribbon.
“We really appreciate the support from the community,” he said. “It’s been a dream.”

Orion Collins, 3, joined his mom, Kathryn Collins, and his dad in cutting the ribbon held across the door. A countdown was announced, but before it even began, Orion snipped the ribbon. The folks in the crowd chuckled.
Two Rivers Dental offers preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, as well as replacement options. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“It’s been very exciting,” Collins said. “I’m looking forward to seeing it grow.”
