LANE COUNTY – The Lane County Violence Prevention Coalition (LCVPC) has relaunched its website, serving as a central hub for resources aimed at preventing domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and identity-based violence in the area.
“This website allows us to broaden our reach, support our partners more effectively, and ensure that individuals and families can easily access the information they need,” said Syd Reed, community programs manager at SASS and active member of the LCVPC.
The updated site features:
- Information about the LCVPC’s mission and community initiatives
- A comprehensive resource directory of local prevention and intervention services
- An events and meeting calendar for community engagement
- Opportunities for coalition membership and volunteering
- Updates and news on current projects
- A prevention resource library for educating about violence prevention.
Founded in 2022, LCVPC includes organizations such as Hope & Safety Alliance, Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS), and others that focus on trauma-informed and community-centered approaches. The coalition is committed to shifting county norms to address interpersonal violence before it occurs through education and cross-sector collaboration.
“Violence prevention requires dedication from all of us. This site helps bring our community together to move that mission forward,” said Leah Schluter, prevention education and advocacy coordinator at CSAW and member of the LCVPC.
