Cottage Grove volleyball lost to Marist Catholic narrowly 3-2. They will play again in another Sky-Em game. Last year, the Lions went 1-1 with the Spartans. Creswell had impressive scoring performances against Siuslaw / Mapleton and Pleasant Hill last week. They racked up 6 goals against the Vikings and shut out the Billies with 9 goals.
In Class 5A, Springfield had seen abrupt changes with an automatic win from Hillsboro due to a forfeit and cancelled game this week from Lakeridge. Thurston went 1-1 last week with a loss to Cascade and a victory over Lebanon. The Colts’ 8-1 victory over Lebanon has been their highest-scoring game of the season.

#18 SPRINGFIELD MILLERS (2-3-1)
Kicking off: The Millers face league opponent North Eugene this Thursday. Last year, the Midwestern League champion Highlanders almost lost to the Millers. Look for Hayden and Jack Sayre and Bradly Velasquez Roblero.
#26 THURSTON BOYS SOCCER (3-5)
Kicking off: The Colts face Ashland at “The Barn” this Saturday for a Midwestern League showdown. The Colts lost 3-0 to Ashland in ’24.
