Thurston boys took 15th and the girls finished 16th in the Division 1 category at the elite 2025 Nike Portland meet last week. Carson Buergey earned first overall at 15:18. Nathalie Parker led the girls at 19:22. She now holds the 2nd fastest 5k time in Thurston history.

Cottage Grove and Pleasant Hill ran the Woahink Lake XC Invitational last weekend. For the boys, Siuslaw took first, Cottage Grove second, and Pleasant Hill third. Cottage Grove’s top two finishers were Jennings Albrecht in third (17:15.10, PR) and David Culbert in fourth (17:23.40). Kaden Seaton led the boys with 9th overall at 18:11. For the girls, Cottage Grove took first, Siuslaw second and Pleasant Hill third. Cottage Grove Ella Cardwell earned her first XC win and the girls team became the first CGHS team to win at the Woahink Invite. She finished first at 20:26. Pleasant Hill’s Kristen Gardner was third overall at 21:22.
Creswell ran in the Champs Invite last Friday. The boys team took 18th. Hans Lewis led the boys at 18:21. The girls team of three runners – Kylie Leonard, Chloe Colletti, and Elizabeth Lewis – also participated. Leonard led the way at 21:53.
