In Class 3A last week, Creswell beat Class 4A Marshfield, winning a competitive 5-4 game last week. In head coach Brandi Wittenborn’s last year, the Bulldogs are 4-2 thus far. Pleasant Hill still itches for its first win after losing to Western Christian / Amity 4-3 last week. A formidable Class 2A private school, the Billies have gone 0-2 with the Pioneers the last two years.
In Class 5A, Springfield went 0-1-1 last week. It began with a shutout from Class 6A Sunset 8-1. Then, on Thursday, the Millers played down a classification against the 4A Marist Catholic Spartans and tied 3-3. Lastly, Thurston earned its second win of the season, going 3-1 with Class 4A North Bend (1-4).

#14 COTTAGE GROVE LIONS (1-1)
Kicking off: The Lions seal up their short-lived non-league season and head start into the Sky-Em League this week against their biggest opponent of the year: Marist Catholic. Then on Monday, they’ll face the Marshfield Pirates.
#19 CRESWELL BULLDOGS (4-2)
Kicking off: The Bulldogs begin Special District 3 this week, starting off with Siuslaw / Mapleton on Tuesday. Then, the Dawgs end their biggest league rival game of the season: the Pleasant Hill Billies. Watch for Brady Pratt and Matthew Jenkins.
#54 PLEASANT HILL BILLIES (0-2-1)
Kicking off: The Billies are still itching for a win after unsuccessful non-league. Nonetheless, they’ll enter Special District 3 this week against Creswell on Thursday. The last time the Billies took the win over the Bulldogs was in 2022.
#20 SPRINGFIELD MILLERS (1-3-1)
Kicking off: The Millers begin to close out non-league this week. They hit the road to Hillsboro on Tuesday and then Lake Ridge, the upcoming Tuesday. The Millers have had a tumultuous non-league so far, however, they’ve been known for bouncing back in the Midwestern League season.
#27 THURSTON COLTS (2-4)
Kicking off: The Colts close down non-league this week against Cascade and Lebanon. The Colts are looking to keep afloat once Midwestern League approaches and recorded a winning record with new head coach Phil Sweeney.
