LANE COUNTY — With the developing heatwave across the region, the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA) is issuing an air quality advisory beginning Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, for the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area due to elevated levels of ozone pollution, or smog. LRAPA expects the smog air quality advisory due to remain until 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2025.
