FALL CREEK — Lane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after responding to a report of a person chasing individuals with a pistol at a campground on Peninsula Road, northeast of Lowell, on Aug. 14 around 4 p.m.
Deputies arrived with an armored rescue vehicle and a drone operator, locating victims who had fled the scene after being menaced by an unidentified male with a pistol.
Authorities detained two individuals in the area, one of whom matched the suspect’s description. A pistol was recovered.
Randy Kurtis Bounds, 50, of Ashland, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and three counts of menacing. Another individual, Amber Nicole Tyrone, 33, of Eugene, was arrested on a Eugene Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal trespass in the second degree.
Both were lodged at the Lane County Jail.
