Alma Fumiko Hesus, UWLC’s Vice President of Resource Development, has been selected to serve as the next President and CEO for United Way of Lane County (UWLC), the board of directors announced this week.
Following 40 years of leadership in the network and 13 years as President and CEO of UWLC, Noreen J. Dunnells retires this month. Hesus starts July 7.
Born in rural Oregon and raised in Guam, Hesus has shared her Palauan heritage as a leader in the area since 1997. Joining UWLC in 2015, she oversees resource development, community investments, marketing and communications, and volunteers. Hesus is the chair of the Lane Transit District Strategic Planning Committee and serves on the Springfield Library Foundation and the Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union boards; she is also the past-president of the KLCC Foundation Board.
