  • “Hidden Rivers” film screening. Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council teamed up with Filmmaker Jeremy Monroe from Freshwaters Illustrated and the Opal Center for Arts & Education to put on a public screening of Jeremy’s film, “Hidden Rivers.” Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  All ages. Free.
  • SpringFILM: “Scream” (2022) at 6:30 p.m. at Wildish Theater, 630 Main St., Springfield. Free.

  • Cottage Grove recycling event, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Cottage Grove Library, 700 E. Gibbs Ave. This event shows South Lane residents how to recycle their #2, #4, and #5 plastics. Plastics must be cleaned and sorted by number.
  • English Ivy Pull Extravaganza, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Chambers Covered Railroad Bridge, Cottage Grove. Meet at the east entrance. Coast Fork Willamette Watershed volunteer event. Tools and gloves provided. RSVP and questions: [email protected].
  • Donuts and Drop-off can and bottle drive, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at Centennial Elementary School, 1315 Aspen St., Springfield. Support Centennial Elementary by donating redeemable cans and bottles. BottleDrop will be matching an additional 20% through their give back holiday giving program.

  • London Grange Annual Thanksgiving Community Potluck, Sun, 1 p.m., Grange Hall, 72746 London Rd. (MP10) The Grange provides Turkey, Ham, potatoes, stuffing, and gravy. Attendees bring a side dish or dessert to share. Invite your neighbor or friends to enjoy this long-standing community tradition.

  • Light The World Giving Machine ribbon-cutting ceremony, 9 a.m., 293 Valley River Center, Eugene. The giving machine is a vending machine that allows people to support nonprofits, and 100% of the proceeds go to local and global nonprofits.
