Connie Crystal Hartman Counts passed away on May 24, 2024 after an eight-month battle with cancer.
She was born in Medford, Ore. on June 10, 1955 to Paul and Crystal Hartman. She attended Tangent Elementary School until she moved to Creswell, Ore. in 1966, graduating from Creswell High School in 1973. She began her career as one of Creswell’s “sweethearts,” working at the Dairy Queen until it closed.
With the help of her parents, she raised three sons: Justin, Michael (deceased), and Ryan Jones. She also cared for Rick and Nick Jones, of Washington, until they graduated high school.
She married Mike Counts, of Creswell, on June 21, 1999 in Reno, Nev. Together, they cared for and raised two granddaughters: Brooklyn and Breonah Jones.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, her father Paul Hartman, and her son Michael Jones. Survivors include her mother Crystal Hartman; brother Lonnie Hartman; nephew Kyle Hartman; husband Mike Counts; son Scott Counts; sons Justin and Ryan Jones; granddaughters Brooklyn, Breonah, and Nicole Jones; grandsons Tristan and Jayden (Lexi) Jones; nephews Rick and Nick Jones; many great aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many dear friends.
No service is planned at this time.
We all loved Connie very much. Her community impact was profound. We miss her every day. She will be watching over us in heaven.
