With a 100% chance of rain for much of the day, and an estimated total rainfall of .514 inches, weather was anything but holly or jolly on Saturday, Dec. 2. But in true Oregonian form, the rain hardly dampered spirits in Cottage Grove. The city ushered in the holiday season with community events. Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Kick-Off packed in a crowd in Historic Downtown for a flurry of events, from a tree lighting ceremony to bright and merry visits with Santa, and ample opportunities for holiday shopping.
