SPRINGFIELD – As we enter October next week, it’s time to break out the boxes of Halloween decorations and start planning your costumes.
Among the Halloween festivities, Willamalane will be hosting the first event of the Halloween season with its fourth annual Ghostly Golf: a glow in the dark, Halloween-decorated mini-golf experience with light-up greens and golf balls.
Caitlin Esping, Willamalane special events and rentals supervisor, said Ghostly Golf is fun for all ages – she even brought her then-2-year-old last year.
“We try to make (Ghostly Golf) better every year so there’s always something to delight and surprise repeat attendees,” Esping said. “It’s a really good opportunity to get out and do something unique and fun.”
The event will be held at Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park on Oct. 6-7, 12-14, and 19-21 from 7-9:30 p.m. Tickets for a group of four are $38, and there is a limit of 36 groups per day. Groups greater than four are still encouraged to attend; they will just need to register for more than one tee time.
Registration for Ghostly Golf opens Oct. 3, and it is required because Ghostly Golf is a very popular event for Willamalane.
“Even though it’s one of our newer Halloween events, it’s become a favorite of people for sure,” Esping said.
