I would like to clarify a point in the candidate profile of Karen Bodner, who is running for the position of Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District #66 Director Position 1. Under “Prior Government Experience,” Ms. Bodner lists various positions she held on the Lane County Master Gardener Association Board.
The Master Gardener Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that supports the Oregon State University Master Gardener™ Program. Master Gardeners are volunteer public educators who provide science-based information on sustainable gardening to the public.
Neither the Master Gardener Program, nor the association which supports it, are affiliated with the government.
