Janet “Carol” DeSpain, 87, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away March 14, 2023.
Carol was born Oct. 8, 1935 in Eugene to parents Charles H. and Daisy “Ruth” (Mendell) Gordineer. She married Alvin DeSpain June 23, 1967, in Oakridge.
Carol enjoyed crafts, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and reading.
Carol is survived by her children Ron and Lio DeSpain of California; Sandra and Steven Evernden of LaPine; Pam and Larry Wiskow of Cottage Grove; Twila and John Lamb of Washington; Joyce and Chuck Burkeen of Estacada, Ore.; Alvin and Gina DeSpain of Cottage Grove; Terry and Shalan DeSpain of Oklahoma; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, and son Ron Woody.
Funeral service: March 22 at 11 a.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel. Pastor Officiant: Chuck Burkeen.
