Springfield: The Millers beat No. 16 Ridgeview 50-34 in the first round of the playoffs. Springfield was led by JB Robinson with 16 points, 11 steals and 4 assists. Juju Henderson added 15 points and 6 blocks, and Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam chipped in 6 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Then in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, the Millers took down No. 8 Mountain View 45-26. A stellar defense forced 14 turnovers and
held MV to 22% shooting. Romero-Ah Sam led Springfield with 15 points and 3 assists, while Henderson chipped in 10 points and 4 blocks.

In the bonus: The Millers head to Corvallis to compete in the Class 5A state playoffs at Oregon State. Springfield’s quarterfinal win on Tuesday set up a semfinals matchup with No. 5 Crater (19-6) on Thursday. The finals for Class 5A are Friday night, and if Springfield wants to make it, or win, it will need continued excellence from all five starters: Alexi Morgan, JB Robinson, Ryan Marshall, Juju Henderson, and Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam.
