Springfield’s Danaeja Romero-Ah Sam makes her return as Athlete of the Week after a 24 point, 5 steal and 3 assist performance in the Millers’ 76-41 win over Churchill last week. Romero-Ah Sam, the reigning Class 5A player of the year, has led Springfield to a 19-5 record and #1 ranking. The Millers are also 11-0 in the Midwestern League and clinched their first league title since the 2018-’19 season.
