Becky LaRae Hand, 67, of Cottage Grove, Ore. passed away Feb. 11, 2023 from a long battle with lung disease. She was born Feb. 22, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to parents Howard Leroy and Marguerite (Manning) Kimbel.
After graduating from Cottage Grove High School, Becky attended beauty college. Becky married Robert Duane Hand on Sept. 7, 1974 in Cottage Grove.
She worked for the Hub department store, was a co-owner of Addi’s Diner, and she worked at Walmart in her later years.
Becky loved going to the casinos. She enjoyed playing volleyball, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Robert of Cottage Grove; son Braedon and wife Chelsea Hand of Cottage Grove; son Shawn Hand of Cottage Grove; sister Vicki and husband Bill Overman of LaCenter, Wash.; and 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Michael and Hadley.
There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
