George Burton Partridge

June 3, 1925 – Sept. 20, 2022

George Burton Partridge, 97, passed away peacefully Sept. 20, 2022. 

He was born in Dubois, Idaho on June 3, 1925 to Burt and Susan Partridge (Sammons). George joined Kathryn, James and Gale, who all preceded him in death. 

The family moved to Oregon, with a brief pause in Montana, and arrived at the farm in Walterville in 1934. He attended Deerhorn School and graduated from Springfield High School in 1942. 

After graduation he joined the Navy and served in the Marshall Islands during the war. 

George married Peggy Dickinson on May 29, 1949 and they raised three children, Lauri, Debra, and Scott (deceased). He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

George was a man of many talents and had a great love of life. He was active in the community with church, Boy Scouts, youth baseball, 4-H, square dancing, Grange, mushball and bowling, to name a few. 

After his retirement from EWEB in 1982 he and Peggy started traveling around the U.S. They found their winter base home in Yuma, Ariz. and had many adventures and friends there.
