12:16 pm: Theft, Mountain View Real Estate Summary: A theft of rental payments via a mail slot at the business occurred between 7/1/22 at 6 p.m. and mid-morning 7/4/22. It is unknown how many rental payments are missing, some of which are checks that may be reissued. One victim paid $950 cash, which is now unaccounted for. With no video surveillance of the mail slot there is no identified suspect.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 6
5:10 pm: Theft, Cottage Grove area Summary: Officer contacted a juvenile who was in possession of marijuana and a bong. Juvenile was cited and released to mother.
THURSDAY, JULY 7
6:14 pm: Trespassing, 1220 Hwy. 99 North Summary: Officer responded to a disorderly male, refusing to leave the Shell fuel station. The male was contacted near the location, taken into custody and lodged at the CGPD Jail. The male was charged with Disorderly Conduct Il, Criminal Trespass Il, and Physical Harassment.
FRIDAY, JULY 8
2:31 am: Assault, Cottage Grove area Summary: Officer responded to a disturbance and arrested a subject for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Assault I.
SUNDAY, JULY 10
7:40 pm: Trespassing, 1200 E. Main St. Summary: Officer responded to Dari Mart for a disorderly subject, refusing to leave the store and causing a public alarm. The male was later arrested and transported to the CGPD Jail.
TUESDAY, JULY 12
8:21 am: Assist outside agency, Forest Valley Vet clinic Summary: Officer responded to dispatch to help with an injured deer.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 13
3:48 pm: Vehicle stop, Cottage Grove area Summary: Officer arrested a male for Driving While Suspended – Felony, Resisting Arrest, and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
