John Lavern Crahan passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2021 at his home in Springfield, Ore. John was born April 23, 1926 to John Joseph and Elizabeth Mines Crahan in Crofton, Neb.
John served honorably aboard the USS Yorktown during World War II. John retired as a Dispatcher from the Southern Pacific Railroad. John was a kind, generous and faithful man, loved by many.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Idamarie Crahan and son, Shannon T. Crahan. He is survived by his daughters Susan Lappat Crutchfield, Judith Crahan Pierini and Jeannette Crahan Hodapp, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service with Naval Honors was held at Rest-Haven Memorial Park.
