After a courageous battle with cancer, our dear Mom passed away on Oct. 5, 2021 in Junction City. She was laid to rest in Cottage Grove. Her zest for life, family and her friends will always be remembered, and will carry us into a world without her presence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Breeton in 1999. She is survived by one daughter Angela Breeton; one son Jayson Breeton and wife Shannon Breeton; grandchildren Cynthia (Breeton) Cooper, Skyler Breeton and Joey Erickson; one great-grandchild, Colton Cooper; siblings Gary Turpin, Larry Turpin, Lynda Beasley; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her beloved rescue dog, Rico.
Janet Marlene Turpin was born in 1946 in Lebanon, Ore. and spent her youth residing in Cottage Grove where she graduated high school and went on to attend Beauty College. She met Daniel Breeton in Cottage Grove and they married in 1965, relocating to Sunnyvale, Calif. in 1967. In 1976 they relocated to Bremerton, Wash. where they both worked hard and created a wonderful life, full of friends and family. Their annual backyard pickle-ball parties were legendary.
Upon relocating to Junction City in 2000, she joined the Junction City Moose Lodge where she regularly volunteered for charity events and looked forward every year at Christmastime to decorating the Lodge dining room. It was here where she made numerous, life-long friends that she held dear to her heart. May we hold our wonderful memories of her forever.
In remembrance, donations may be made to her favorite charities: Habitat for Humanity or your local animal shelter.
