Glen William Brock: June 24, 1942 – Sept. 2, 2021

Glen William Brock was born June 24, 1942 in Wheaton, Mo., to Earl Lemont Brock and Neva Jewel Brock. When he was 5 years old his family moved to Oregon and lived in Hood River before settling in Creswell. He and his family fell in love with all Oregon had to offer, and he became a lifelong hunter and fisher.Growing up he loved going to the La Pine area to hunt with his family. 

The day he turned 18 he joined the Air Force. After basic training he was deployed to Istanbul, Turkey where he met and married Erten Isik. During his service to our country, he and his family traveled the world, living in Turkey, California, Florida, the Philippines, Illinois, Arizona and England.

A decorated combat veteran during his 31-year Air Force career, he served two terms in Vietnam, where he ran extraction missions to bring other soldiers to safety while risking his own life. 

In 1992 he retired from the Air Force and moved back to Oregon, the place he always considered home in his heart. A widower, he is survived by his son Glen William Brock Jr.; Quin Ziya Brock; Deniz Dawn Brock; Gina Pakize Brock; Waldorf Cupid Brock; and Statler Snoopy Brock. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove.
