Robert A. Boyd was born April 25, 1922 to George and Augusta Boyd in Olden, Mo. He passed away on Aug. 3 2021 in Eugene, Ore. He was 99.
Bob graduated from Springfield High School, then joined the three C’s. He joined the United States Navy in 1942. Hewas discharged in 1946 and re-enlisted in May ’53. He retired in July 1972 where he lived in Creswell.
He loved gold panning and was a life member of the Bohemia Mine Owners Association. He volunteered at the Creswell Library and the Creswell Historical Museum until he moved to Eugene.
He is survived by his son, Richard Boyd, daughter-in-law Cathy Boyd, grandsons Alan Boyd and Chris Boyd and great- grandkids, Logan and Ryleigh Boyd.
