Flora Mae Taylor: June 3, 1924 – Feb. 22, 2021

Flora Mae Taylor, born June 3, 1924, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Feb. 22, 2021. Flora was born in Junction City, Oregon to C.H. and Edna Mae McCullum.

At 16 she married the love of her life Moses (Jack) Kingston Taylor in August of 1940. They raised four children, Robert, Michael, Tony and Cynthia, and lived throughout the Willamette Valley till they finally settled in Salem, Ore., in 1985. 

She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother always putting her family first. She worked as a dietitian at Cottage Grove Hospital and Serenity Lane in Eugene. 

After moving to Salem she retired and became the office manager and receptionist for her daughters’ beauty shop. 

She was involved with Eastern Star and was a member of Trinity United Methodist church. She touched the lives of many people and was always willing to help. She loved canning, gardening, and cooking. 

She is survived by her son Tony and Charon Taylor of Junction City, Ore; daughter Cindy and John Bray of Salem, Ore; daughter-in-law Kate Taylor of Boulder, Colo.; and daughter-in-law Carol Taylor of Creswell. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Moses (Jack) Taylor, sons Robert and Michael Taylor, and grandsons Nicholas and Brian Taylor and Michael Bray.

Visitation was March 3 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Services were at Lane Memorial Gardens.
