Health clubs reopen

Now that health clubs have been given the green light to get going again, it has been full-steam ahead for members of the Emerald Fitness Club.

Well, sort of.

There’s no sauna, and no hot tub, either. Under Gov. Kate Brown’s latest edict, there’s no showers or drinking fountains after a spirited workout. Members are asked to bring their own full water bottles to both the Creswell and Cottage Grove locations.

Members won’t be required to wear masks or gloves but are highly encouraged to do so.

The Creswell club has new hours of operation. It will open from 5 a.m-8 p.m. through the week and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on weekends. The Cottage Grove club will remain open 24 hours, but the staffing hours have been reduced to 9 a.m.-4 p.m. M-F and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.
